A Little Perspective

Do you ever feel as though you are living through people via Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram (or all three), and not truly living yourself? This has been something I have been struggling with recently and trying to fix in my life. I don't have the most exciting life, but I do have a life of my own. And, let's be real, what people put up on social media is not always a true representation of themselves. There's always a certain degree of sugar coating going on.

I may not be going on glamorous vacations left and right, I may not go out every weekend, I may not have the energy (yet) to do a bunch of crazy work outs and races, but, you know what? My life is not half bad. I have 3 adorable animals, I have a fantastic husband, and I have a great family. I have a rockin' herb garden on my tiny patio, and I'll be darned if I don't make some pretty delicious food.

Am I always this full of myself you ask? Nope. But, sometimes, it's good for you to remind yourself of all the good stuff you have going on, and not constantly obsess over the less-than-perfect parts of yourself and your life. That's why I gave my blog a little facelift. Are there going to be absolutely no negative posts? Nope. However, hopefully I can at least put a little bit of positive in every one. Because, let's face it, there's always something to be thankful for.
